Assalamu alaikum. This is not ibtihal but a very well known poem (lament) for shuhada (martyrs) of Gallipoli (1915) by Mohamed Akif (1873-1936) rahimehullah, the great poet of Turkish poem. It was one of the bloodiest war of the history. At the beginning of 1st world war, allied forces of UK, French, Australia and New Zeland attacked to Canakkale (Chanaq qaleh) in order to cross Dardanelles Strait and invade Istanbul. They failed. Some deatails about the battle can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Gallipoli.

Thank you very much for clarifying brother ..
and if you have poems sung like this ,don''t hesitate to share them with us ..

الأخ أوضح أعلاه ان هذه في الواقع قصيدة رثاء شهداء معركة من معارك
الحرب العالمية الأولى بين الحلفاء والعثمانيين 1915

Not only Turks (etrak) brother, if you happen to visit mashads there you will see many of sons of Damascus, Quds, Nablus, Baghdad etc. The major outcome of this war, I think, separation of Turkish population (as a secular country) from Arab population and establishment of Israel within Islamic territory.
