I thought it would be better to make a thread of its own of this post.
Don't worry, Najib! After all, this one is far better than 'alf lila and, if I have to choose, I'd rather have the live performance, all the more when it's the best one, than the studio recording.

Actually I do like this performance. I have it on video and watched it a few times (I do like to watch Om Kulthoum singing, not just hear her). But again, my favorite of Baligh's is Ansak; it has some really beautiful stuff (then he started getting out of control :-)

I've just noticed that the version that Fred uploaded is about 55 minutes. The complete version is about 90 minutes actually.

@ lu'ay : indeed, the version I uploaded is the edited video one. The long and complete one was issued by Sono Cairo as a 90 minute tape. I haven't digitalized it yet, but can do it if nobody's done it yet. Trouble is, where can the dam... tape be ?
Thanks Fred. The problem is that the editing process completely removed the last (fourth) part of the song (Konte Bashtaa'lak Wana Wenta Hena). If I remember correctly, in this performance, Om Kulthoum sang each of the first three parts of the song three times, and sang the last part twice. The editing definitely reduced the number of times the last part is
sung to zero :-)

The file is almost 90 minutes. That will not fit for any CD. Is there a way to upload it as two files, each of around 45 minutes. I tried to split it into two part using Windows Movimaker. For some reason the program is seeing it as only 34 minutes.

This is not correct. Although the standard CD capacity is 80 min/700 Mb, there are yet CDs of 90 min/800 Mb capacity and even 100 min/900 Mb in the market...
Now, this said, I know all this started as a king of joke (see Fred's initial post). But, I think some self restraint is needed here if we don't want this forum to end up like so many others. Y'ou'll remember the animated debate we had a few days ago around 'abdi-l-wahab's sa'it ma bashufak ganbi and kulli da kan lih. In the last 2-3 days, we've had ba'id 'annak, 'alf lila-w-lila and somebody has been repeatedly asking for lilit hubb... I sincerely feel alramed and if you go on this way I hardly can see which kind of argument we will be able to oppose to somebody who would like to upload hawil tiftikirni or 'ana ba'shaqak other than that we're the masters here and, as such, we allow and ban whatever we want on whichever ground. And I wouldn't resort to such kind of arguments.

Honestly Im not such a Baligh fan myself but about 5-6 years ago, I took all my Oum Kalthoum haflat and digitilized the audio...

We will gather these songs under one thread or one place eventually. This is under study at the moment.
Alf Leylah I requested it and I can remove it when we tidy up the posts.
Frederic was joking on the fact that Be3eed is on a level far far below than the adwars and Nahda-esque files that this forum is boasting with. However Frederic was saying that be3eed -the tunis haflah- had a lot of "special" stuff in it so we wanted to hear it, and still we can sort it out later.

Om Kalthoum est arrivée à Tunis fin Mai 1968. Le jour même de son arrivée, elle a été reçue par le président Bourguiba au palais présidentiel de Carthage.
L'hospitalité tunisienne était au rendez vous ; programme chargé de visites et de cadeaux précieux : au café M'rabet a la médina, à l'artisanat, au siège de la Radio-Télévision Tunisienne, au Ministère de la culture (reçue par le célèbre ministre-homme de lettres Mahmoud Messa'adi ), à la maison de disques Ennagham (reçue par feu Si Azzouz Rebai)... et la cerise sur le gâteau était l'inauguration en sa présence de la rue Om Kalthoum en plein Tunis... chose qui la pousse à prolonger son séjour (10 dix jours au lieu d'une semaine).
Elle a célébré deux soirées au palais des sports d'Elmenzah, à la Cité Nationale Sportive (jadis village sportif Bourguiba), construite en 1967 pour l'organisation des Jeux méditerranéens. Ce palais, appelé aussi la coupole (elkobba), a une capacité de 5000 places assises. Le premier concert a eu lieu le vendredi 31 Mai 1968 devant environ 7000 spectateurs et en présence du couple présidentiel. Elle a chanté Fakkarouni et Al-atlal.
Le deuxième, le Lundi 3 Juin 1968 , elle a chanté Enta Omri et Baid Annak.

ما نستفيده من النّصّ أعلاه هو أنّ حفلتي أمّ كلثوم بتونس كانتا يوم الجمعة 31 مايو 1968 وغنّت خلالها فكّروني والأطلال ثمّ الإثنين 3 يونيو وغنّت خلالها إنت عمري وبعيد عنّك، ونظّمت الحفلتان بما يعرف في تونس بقصر الرّياضة بالمنزه، وهو عبارة عن ملعب رياضيّ (قاعة) مسقوف لرياضة كرة اليد وبعض الرّياضات الأخرى الّتي تمارس داخل القاعات، وليس ملعب المنزه (وهو ملعب كرة قدم)، والملعب والقاعة ("القصر") موجودان بنفس المكان (المنزه، وكان آنذاك على أطراف العاصمة إلاّ أنّه اليوم غدا في قلبها تقريبا بفعل التّوسّع العمرانيّ) بين منشآت مدينة رياضيّة شيّدت قبل ذلك بسنة لاحتضان ألعاب البحر الأبيض المتوسّط.
