Ghada ghanem is an opera singer has been trained in Huston, USA. I have attached her performance of "hayrana Leih" by Dauod husni.....

صوتها جميل يا برهان وإن كان من الواضج غلبة التّجربة الأوبراليّة على أدائها وعدم تشرّبها خصاشص الغناء العربيّ مثل القفلة والتّلوين أو التّصرّف النّغميّ.
هل هناك من يملك التسجيل الأصلي لهذه الاغنيه الرائعه ويضعها لنا مع شكري الجزيل سلفا...هذه من الأغاني القديمه المفضله عندي

كلاّ يا نجيب ، أمّ كلثوم لم تغنّ حيرانه ليه (على الأقلّ فيما أعلم)، بل ليلى مراد وقد رفعته توّا.
I think Najib was talking about Hayranah Leh Ya Domoua'y, which was composed by Qassabji and sung by Om Kulthoum.

She has a very beautiful voice! I think classically trained singers have a definite advantage on maintaining the "health" of the voice as we are trained so technically....there's no roughness and it just glides through the song. This is one of my favorite songs!
That being said, sometimes you can definitely hear the "operatic-ness" coming through too much.... i can't listen to it more than once.
