Watassimo Women's Second International Competition for memorization of the Holy Quran / Kicks off

With the anthem of Allahu Akbar ( God is the Greatest) and a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the functions of Watassimo Women's Second International Competition for memorization of the Holy Quran has started tonight at Al-Mahari Hotel in Tripoli organized under the auspices of the Secretary General of Watassimo Association for Charitable Works Dr. Aisha Muammar Al-Gathafi with the participation of more than 60 countries from different continents of the world.

The activities of the competition are to continue until the 16th of the blessed Ramadan.
The Competition will be arbitrated and assessed by an international committee which includes the following honorable scholars :
Sheikh/ Mustafa Ahmed Ghashgash from Great Jamahiriya - President
With the membership of Sheikh/ al-Dukalli Mohamed al-Alem and Sheikh/ Rajab Faraj Abu Dagaga from Great Jamahiriya.
Sheikh/ Mohammed al-Sheikh from Algeria.
Sheikh/ Mohammed Walli Swing from Turkey .
Sheikh/ Hassan al-Azhari from Malaysia .
Sheikh/ Maliek Sou from Senegal.
Sheikh/ Zaidan Mohammed Salamah from Jordan.
In addition to, Sheikh/ Abdul- Fattah Shaqroun and Sheikh/ Hussien Abu Jazia from Great Jamahiriya as Rapporteur for the Committee.

It is worth noting that Wattassimu Association for Charitable Works has organized the first women international competition for memorization of the Holy Quran in Ramadan of last year with the participation of more than 40 countries from different continents of the world.

Head of the referee committee of the Waatassimu Competition for memorizing the Holy Quran, Sheikh Mohamed al-Hadi Kridan expressed pride at the level reached by women in Great Jamahiriya in memorizing, and studying the teachings of the Holy Quran.


About 99 competitors from across Great Jamahiriya are taking part in this competition which he said the objective was not to get prizes but to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, the month of the Holy Quran by mentioning God, making recitation, and submission and invokation of the Almighty.
