Ha ha or maybe nobody likes clarinet!
or everyone has that taksim already?
Sukru Tunar is great great great! I also like his taksims on alto saxophone.
thanks dem,
This is one of the best nihavend taksims I have heard.
I know it personally before, but it wasn't on the forum, and now people have a chance to hear it.
I loved your question Dem :)
Of course this one of the best Teksims in the recorded Turkish repertoire.
I heard this Teksim first time posted on a website for the Turkish embassy.
When I heard it I had no Turkish CD in my collection. It took a couple of years until someone told me that this is Shukru Tunar, once I knew the name I managed to buy the CD.
After that I was addicted to Turkish music forever :-) And my collection grew to hundreds of CDs.
I think I made every visitor to my house listen to this Nahawand Teksim in particular.
I will post later his story with Cemil Bey.
Salamat.
i didnt download this file .. because i know it very well .. i think it the best clarinet taksim in Turkish music

it is indeed a wonderful one , i listened to it before but do not remember where (maybe one of Kalan's collection cd's),,
I'm new here and no expert in oriental music, but I want to try Soultani Yegiah with my band.
I have heard a version of Sukru Turan, but the one that exited me is a version on a cd called Smyrne (Estudiantines).
It'll take practise to get up to speed, but here's my question:
what maqam is to be employed?
The version of Smyrne seems to go away in directions from the themes.
