He is also teacher of Kani Karaca.

He is a typical model of Kuran propers from Istanbul.

I heard and read about Usküdarlı Ali Efendi before. Though I live in Istanbul, I have not listened to him until today. He had already passed away rahimehullah before I moved to Istanbul, and I haven't come across any of his recording. Thanks Dem, Thanks Zaman Al Wasl.

Well, his style of reciting is very beautiful and elegant, although he seems very old here. I wonder how he sounded like when he was young.

It is also remarkable how much Kani Karaca learned from his teacher. I never realized how much his style is similar to his teacher.
