I have his Club du Disque Arabe CD with the French piano player Collette Merklen, "Sortileges. Piano & luth sur des musiques de Cherif Kheddam". I'm not too sure whether I like it - in fact rather not too much. Most probably because I think these instruments don't fit, though in Turkey such experiment can be found more often.

Yeah, Mutlu Torun has written an oud method. I tried translate it in greek word-by-word but I gave it up. I think it's already published in greek/english.
