Here are two exemples of ancient smyrnean songs from the commercial cd "Mélodies d'Orient - Songs of Smyrna (19th century) Μελωδίες της Ανατολής τραγούδια της Σμύρνης 19ος αιώνας" FM records FM800.
The first one "Apo to steno sou na diavo - Down your alley-way I would pass" sung by Christos Tsiamoulis is a smyrnean "pantinada" (sort of oriental serenad):

Και πριν να βγεις στην πόρτα σου να γύρω να πεθάνω -Καλή
