I have a request, if anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm looking for a couple of records:
"Songs of Mytilene and Smyrna" and "Lesbos Aiolis: Songs & Dances Of Lesbos."
If someone has them, if you could please drop me a message, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Here are a couple of songs from Mytilene. The first is by a group called Skordalia based in Boston.
The second is from an album called Mytilinio Glenti.
You'll notice the santouri, a classic feature of Mytilinian music.
The second is by Oi Myilinioi
I've got a Cd with smyrnean and Mitilenian songs by Bindigialas in Crete :(. But now I'm in France... I'll upload them in May.
There are some songs from Lesvos in the greek national television archives: http://www.ert-archives.gr/wpasV2/public/p02-view.aspx?titleid=6654&action=mView&mst=00:00:00:00

"San ta marmara tis polis."
There's a version on the album "From Smyrna to Constantinople," but I just realized (as I was trying to upload it) that can't upload it cause it's locked. However, you could hear it on Rhapsody.

Another version (with santouri and lyrics) I'm uploading here by Oi Mytilinioi, the group of Dimitris Kofteros (http://www.kofteros.gr/kofteros_en.htm) from Lesvos, from the album "Mytilinio Glenti." It can be downloaded from his site as well along with a couple of other songs.
