وهذه حفلة جميلة أخرى للسيدة أم كلثوم ذات قيمتين فنية وتاريخية والتي يبدأها مذيع الحفلة بمقابلة صغيرة مع الست حيث تلقي الشطر الأول من أبيات الأغنية وهي أروح لمين التي تغنيها لأول مرة بمناسبة يوم الجيش وقد نقلت من قاعة الإحتفالات الكبرى في جامعة القاهرة يوم 20 أكتوبر 1959 وبحضور الرئيس الراحل جمال عبد الناصر.
أرجو الإنتباه الى الإرتجالات الرائعة التي تبدأ بها الست في الدقيقة 54:18 وتنتهي حوالي الدقيقة 57:49

وينتهي الحفل بعزف النشيد الوطني المصري

Thanks Kabh01:) This song was uploaded earlier this week on another website, and there was a confusion about the statement that Umm Kulthum sang it for the first time because the bradcaster said "the new song". The truth is that Arouh le meen was sung for the first time in December 1958, and thus was still relatively new in October 1959.

The rendition of the first verse by Umm Kulthum is "tarabic" by itself. Did you notice her flirtatious tone?:)

Thanks Alffy for this. Those dates have always confused me and I only transfer what the broadcaster says. I actually find those a little more reliable than the published dates in books and magazines etc.

By the way, this is my own direct recording from Al Aghani radio through sattelite. The original recording is at 192 kbps and is of a fantastic quality. I unfortunately had to compress it to 40 kbps to accommodate it within the uploading limits that the forum allows. However, it is still of a good quality.

A question to the knowledgeable among us: while listening to the part of "Shof Dama'i Gari, Sahran Fi Nari, Wala-Nta Dari", I had to pause it for some reason; when I came back to restart it, I found myself humming "Asbor Wu Atdhaher Bel-Onsi Wel-Bahga Wissabri Fi-Dhaher Wel-Murri Fil-Mohga" from Zakariya's El-Ahat. The question is: are these two parts on the same maqam? To me, they even sound the same. Or am I completely off (which is not strange, when it comes to maqams).

You're absolutely right, Luay. Not only are they in the same maqam; they are almost identcal (the difference is a slight one). I wonder how come it didn't strike me before.
