According to the discography established by Fred, there are two Odeon versions of this dawr and this one is the latest and most interesting one (the other one is three sides). It belongs to a period where Safti had lost most of his vocal capcities as already discussed in the thread with the Polyphon one. The recrod numbe is: 215-A224058 and the date is 1931.

Thank you.By the way you have information on this dawr "in qulti ah" of safti which year? Who the composer? Which Makam? This sounds a little Turkish ( kuzam).

In qulti 'ah is here (http://zamanalwasl.net/forums/showthread.php?p=5056#post5056). It is in 'agam mode (nothing to do with huzam or khuzam). As for the composer, according to the discography, it's 'iskandar Shalfun who's more of a theoretician like Kamil al-khula'i and Mansur 'awadh, not a renowned composer anyway. Back to sallimti ruhak, there's a Gramophone version in four sides dating back to 1908 and that one must be the most interesting one.

Sorry, I don't know this one. The specialists in Turkish modes here are Najib and 3amr.

No, 'iskandar Shalfun, not 'iskandarani. We know almost nothing about the latter except that he would have composed the dawr bayati you mentioned ('asri-t-tahani) whereas Shalfun is quite well known, but not as a composer of 'adwar.

Itzik,
This is maqam kurd.

By khuzam you probably mean huzzam, which is usually just called siga in egyptian music.

Hi 3amr
this musical ladder is different from the Kurd due to that was begin from E(MI) until E, and this is his short ladder and he from E until C =do(I forgot to point out this previously ) but maybe this exists only at our place, and this only nomenclature.(This is situated at my place under Makam siga inEgyptian music like that said, and there is there those who says that this calls farahnak) in any case thank you very much .

Itzik,

yes in Kurd you need to reach the gawab of the qarar note but there is not a single note of Sigah in what you are playing.

This is a modified kurd but not a sigah and certainly not a farahnak.

I agree that this of course not siga, said that it is something between Agam to kord. ( khuzam that said not mean huzam Egyptian=siga ).Apparently that this really type of kurd.
thank you very much:)
