now how is a sane person supposed to reply to something like this.
I mean, to see such complete mastery over an instrument, that every single fluctuation of pitch and timber becomes an expressive tool, and to see someone using this power so effectively.

I can just imagine what would have happened to me if the recording quality was better (live concert apparently, not to mention the echo).

I don't know if there ever was a neyzen with as much personality and mastery as this guy. (aka gündüz and Ulvi came pretty close I suppose, but they were always more classical and reserved than this guy, who seems to be playing somewhere up on Jupiter rather than down here on earth).

This is a miraculous ney indeed.
The piece is unclear though, with echo and background noise it is like this in original?

Could you please upload it again with higher bit rate, and track 9 of the same CD where he plays with no one but Aka Gündüz Kutbay.

Shokran Najib Efendi!

No the original piece is like this, and I think the echo is artificially added.

This is why the album is called Sada.

Unfortunately the only thing I didn't like was the Sada itself!!

ach, people and echo.

you should see what they do to quran recordings.

I second Hakem's request for track nine (considering the concept of Niyazi and Aka Gündüz playing alone together sounds delicious enough).
