This waslah of muwashahat should have gone to the sticky devoted to muwashahs, if it wasn't meant to illustrate a recent argument with my dear friend Luay and to correct what seemed to be a misperception of the nature of Sayyid Darwish music. All the muwashahs therein are known or alleged to be his (in the case of the last one, Hayyara-l-'afkar). This means that Darwish music is not limited to the operettas and to the few dawrs he has composed and even fewer ones which are widely known.
